Birthday Cheesecake

Hey guys! Last week was my birthday and I made myself a cheesecake. Cheesecakes are the best, but I had to make it more festive. So I invented the birthday cheesecake! I don't care if someone has made it before because it was my birthday, and I'm the boss on my birthday. LOL

Ichigo Daifuku

A juicy strawberry covered with sweet red bean paste, and wrapped with sweet, chewy mochi! Delicious!

Hey peeps. Yesterday was my 14th birthday and I was gonna post a recipe for my fab birthday cake but now I'm sick and don't have the energy to take more pics of the cake. That's the bad news. You'll just have to wait longer for the most fabulous cake ever, but I will give you a recipe for delicious ichigo daifuku.

Ichigo daifuku is a Japanese dessert consisting of a strawberry covered with red bean paste, then wrapped with mochi. Ichigo means strawberry, and daifuku is the dessert with only a filling wrapped in mochi. Daifuku is usually just called mochi. Also, I have a post with a recipe for daifuku/mochi.

Circus Animal Waffles

Happy Mother's day! For mother's day I made breakfast for my mom. I made circus animal shaped waffles with my new Bella multiplate baking station. It's so awesome because it has interchangeable plates to make different food. I used it to make cinnamon sugar donuts yesterday. The baking station comes with waffle shapes of circus animals. It has an elephant, a lion, and a... clown? My mom said it looks like a Christmas tree. LOL

Cinnamon Sugar Donuts

Today was the best day EVER!!! My birthday is coming up and my momma got me a "birthday present". The reason for the quotation marks? My mom said she's no longer buying birthday presents for people, but she'll buy me anything I need. And this is obviously a necessity and getting it now definitely has nothing to do with the fact that my birthday is 14 days away. OMG. Only 14 more days 'till my 14th b-day. Hehe (note: I'm not trying to make my mom sound mean. She's just too stressed out to deal with presents at the moment.)

Ta da!!! It's a... whatchamacallit?.. Donut, cake pop, circus animal waffle making thingamabob. (Wow, donut is being corrected but whatchamacallit and thingamabob aren't?)  The manual says BELLA multiplate baking station. Basically it's one of those fancy schmancy waffle maker things with different shaped pans to make donuts, cake pops/donut holes(I call 'em timbits), and circus animal shaped waffles. Yup. You can make all three because the pans are interchangeable. I'll have to try all three before I review this.

I had to make the donuts right away. I couldn't wait another second. Actually, I originally wanted to buy the Bella donut maker, but when I got to Walmart, I saw this multiplate one which includes donuts, and was on sale for $29. $21 off from regular price. So I had to get it. Ya know.

I followed the recipe for basic donuts in the manual but added my own little twist. And they were delicious! They  taste way way way better than deep fried donuts. But by the way, these aren't a healthy substitute for donuts. They are just baked not fried. But they are so nummy, delicious, moist, crispy on the outside, and just really good.

Easy Bake Oven Peanut Butter Cookies

So I got this Easy Bake Oven for Christmas when I was like 10 or something, and it came full of images of warm, toasty, delicious, freshly baked desserts. That obviously wasn't even close to the turd that fell out the oven when I made the pretzel mix. Nasty. The lesson to learn from this: never buy Easy Bake Oven mixes.

But, making stuff from scratch usually goes okay. Except if you fill the cake pans too full, which by the way happens every time since the damn things are so shallow. Then you get a huge mess when the batter overflows into the oven, burns, and creates crumbs rolling around noisily in the oven. Awesome right?

I made these yummy cookies from scratch and they turned out AMAZING, well for an Easy Bake Oven cookie. And they were really easy to make. A monkey could do it. Plus, it filled my room with the nummy (yummier than yummy) smell of peanut butter cookies fresh out of the oven. And yes, I baked these in my room, something that is only possible with an Easy Bake Oven.

Nutella Mug Cake

Do ya like this pic I drew of Nutella? :3

It's Sunday... How great... And tomorrow's Monday... yay. And I have band practice tomorrow where the other french horn player refuses to play the hardest part of the song; the french horn solo. So I'm on my own. And I have a geography presentation... Awesome. Aren't Mondays great? and aren't Sundays great because I get to think all day about Monday? Yeah, really great (not).

So, I accidentally made this recipe while I was trying to make a Nutella cookie. I think I put too much egg in it so the dough was all runny. It wasn't even a dough, it was more like batter. So I put it into a cupcake mold and microwaved it. Somehow it rose and tasted like a cake. I didn't even put baking powder or soda in it. So the Nutella mug cake was born! Well, my recipe I guess. People have made this before so it's not a new dessert or anything. But it's still scrumptious!

Crazy Teacup Cake

It's only Tuesday, but I feel like I've been at school all week. And it doesn't help that my body's all sore from gym with that crazy teacher.
CrayCray teacher: "It won't hurt if you stretch"
Me: Ummm... All I've been doing is stretching.
CrayCray teacher: "I'm sure I gave you the info to study for the test. So I'll just fail all of you."
Me: No, you missed the last 4 classes with us so we don't know a damn thing about this subject
CrayCray teacher: "Well good luck."
Me: (rolls eyes) Yeah, you too.

Nothing cures annoyance of crazy teachers like mug cake. Except if that mug cake is made in a tiny, cute teacup. Did I mention it's delicious?

Red Bean Mochi

                                                          Mmmmm... Mochi... Me want.
And yes, those are chocolate Easter eggs. I swear, I only had 1... OK. Maybe I had a few more. But I definitely have not been sitting on the couch eating handfuls of these for the past 3 days. heh heh...
I blame companies who brainwashed us into thinking that we need chocolate for every occasion.

First Post :D

So once again I found myself on a Sunday afternoon bored out of my mind, telling myself to finish the pile of homework building up in the corner, not doing the homework, visiting the fridge for the 50th time, and wishing it was next weekend so that I could spend a weekend actually doing something. But that never happens. So, I decided to think of something to do other than waste my time on the Internet.

All I could think of was cooking, baking, and food. But, I needed an excuse to cook. Every time I bake anything, I feel like everyone in my family eats one piece to be polite, but I'm the one who has to end up finishing it. So I can't bake it for them. Could I bake stuff for friends or neighbours? I would probably run into the same problem except that wouldn't be finishing the food, it would
probably go in the trash. Then it popped into my mind. Since I'm already ruining my eyes and brain on the Internet, why not make a blog to post stuff I bake?
